Karchi is a professional voyeur, transplanted from Budapest. He has lived in five countries and three continents. In 1991 he launched his US studio in Florida, where he began shooting regional and national assignments. He shot for ad agencies, in-house corporate clients, publications and the travel industry; covering life-style, fashion, editorial, corporate and architectural subjects; with such clients as RY&P, TAG, Hilton, Lennar, Disney, Architectural Digest, Time Magazine and a host of others. In 1993 he launched a commercial film division and in 1995 began producing his first feature-length “indie” film. In 2000, after 9 successful years, he closed shop in Florida for the opportunity of shooting and working in LA. He is now based in Venice, CA. His current focus in photography is entertainment, editorial, fashion/beauty, corporate, and last but not least, fine arts.
Bottom Line… Small crew, large crew, commercial or personal, Karchi loses himself in the subject with the playful spontaneity of Groucho Marx, the intellectual curiosity of Carl Jung and the soulful contemplation of the Dalai Lama.
